SSA’s disability case app modernization serving as building block to future transformation: Article on the impact on the Federal News Network
Fully onboarded all 52 Disability Determination Sites (DDS) and 4 regional offices in 2024. All Social Security Disability Cases are being processed in DCPS.
Completed designs in DCPS contributed to reducing the disability case backlog by over 13% from 1.22 million cases in May 2022 to 1.05 million in February 2025.
While, the average case processing time has increased due to an increasing case load, screens designs for DCPS have received positive feedback from all different types of users in the system.
